So about the song “Don’t call me back”
This is a song on heartbreak whereby the artistes were heartbroken after their girlfriends left then for another. However, they found love again and finally moved on with their lives. But as time went, their ex girlfriends realized what they have missed and wanted them back but the artistes were no longer interested in them.
“Don’t call me back” in the context of this song simply means don’t ask me to return to a relationship that you walked out of yourself.

Both Mayorkun and Joeboy were emotionally hurt when their girlfriends left them for another richer men. They tried every possible means to win their girlfriends’ hearts back but it proved abortive. While brooding over the relationship loss or break up, they met girls who showed them real love. They finally got hold of themselves and warned their ex-girlfriends not to ever try returning to them because they wont listen to them just like they didn’t as well to them.
So first thing first,; why are women portrayed as money lovers and sex lovers? If you ask me both men and women love money, and when it comes to sex, na men wan die on top that matter (As in men are ready to die on top of sex) What ya think?
I love the drum beats, the piano, the shakers; they all made the song interesting to the ears. The lyrics are also in array. The song comes in two verses, the first was taken by Joeboy while the second one was taken by Mayorkum. The visual is also very interesting to watch. Joeboy’s visuals are not only interesting but they also tell a story.
The artistes sang in pidgin and their vocals are very appealing which made the song melodious. I love this song. Very brief and interesting. The pre chorus and chorus were taken twice each while the post chorus was taken once.
If you ask me again, I think ladies are the ones that need to sing this song “Don’t call me back” more to a guy; well just saying!
