(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW- BALLING BY M2 FT ESHUN “EHEN! ZANCU TO THE WORLD! +WHY WAS SHE HOLDING THIS BANANA?”

IG @ogefashblog

This Zlatan’s zancu “leg work” dance don go international o; all that featured in the song were actually doing the zancu dance.

Ballin is a song by Ghanaian artistes M2 and Eshun. The song has  a melodious beat. They sang in Akan, a language in Ghana. It is majorly an indoor shoot. They used a studio and a restaurant in Ghana.

But wait o, why was this lady holding banana? Hmmm, bad tchaild

Even M2 was also holding banana. Hmm, bad tchaild. But, why were they holding the banana? All my Ghanians out there, biko (please) what did they say about the banana?

What is the song Ballin really about

This is a love song whereby the artiste M2 pleads with a lady (Acted by Eshun) to be his girlfriend with the promise of taking care of her and her needs. M2 says if Eshun allows him to be his man, they will celebrate and party all day.  He says they would both enjoy the good things of life forever. Eshun in return is also ready to shower him with crazy love.

The artistes sang in standard English, pidgin and other languages. The song comes in three verses. M2 took the first and third verse while Eshun took the second verse. The chorus was taken thrice and the bridge once.

But wait o, did I hear just hear M2 speak Yoruba- a Nigerian language? “Semogi gbere gihemi  ororo bu omo oba, santiniba you never dey carry last.” In the verse 3, M2 had actually said omo oba or do Ghanaians also have “omo oba” in their language? Just asking…
