(+LYRICS+TRANSLATION+MEANING) MUSIC REVIEW: BILLIONAIRE BY TENI “WHAT IS THE MEANING OF…”

IG @ogefashblog

The song “Billionaire” by Teni talks
about not just being rich but having riches that are worth billions. The artiste uses the word “Billionaire” to emphasize how wealthy she wants to be in life. She wants live a comfortable life where she doesn’t have to worry whenever she spends on bills. She says she wants to be in vogue, well respected and be wealthy like billionaires like Dangote, Adenuga and Otedola of Nigeria. She also says she wants to be mentioned in one of America’s biggest business magazine “Forbes”

Ehen, biko (please) people, what does the below mean?

“Mo fe lowo, mo fe lalu, mo fe yogan”

Any Nigerian Yoruba in the house today that can translate that line? Kindly share via the comment box; although “Mo fe lowo” means I want to be rich.

The song “Billionaire” comes in two verses. The pre-chorus and chorus were taken twice each. The lyrics are in array and easy to comprehend. The artiste sang in standard English and Yoruba; a Nigerian Language. The predominant instrument in the song is the drum. The manner in which it was played made the song interesting to the ears.

Take a gander at the lyrics below
