(+LYRICS+TRANSLATION+MEANIING) MUSIC REVIEW: ELLO BABY BY TIWA SAVAGE FT KIZZ DANIEL AND YOUNG JOHN “A FAST-BEAT, YET NOT ON THE DJ’S PLAYLIST!”

IG @ogefashblog

This is a song with an extremely fast beat, so I am wondering why is it not on the playlist of Djs? I get to hear the song ‘Shotan” by Tiwa and Zlatan more than this “Ello baby” by Tiwa, Kizz Daniel and Young John. So kini o really sele? (What is really happening?)

Anyway, so about the song “Ello Baby” I am actually wondering what the song is about. The lyrics are not detailed. It is a “here” and’ there” lyrics, that is the artistes are mixing up words which makes it complex to comprehend.

But if I am to write anything about this song, I would say, for Kizz Daniel, despite his flirty life style, he shows interest in only one girl- Yemisi and wants to marry her. He says he is not interested in knowing about her past relationships.

Tiwa Savage on her part, talks about sticking with a man who only has money to take care of her. She calls the man to hold her waist if he has money and tells him to back off from her waist if he doesn’t.

In the latter part of the song, Kizz Daniel said ‘I no wan crashlike Sosoliso” So, I am wondering, was there really a need for him to have mentioned that Sosoliso in the manner he used it; the Sosoliso crash was a very tragic incident. If you can recall the incident, about 114 children were in the plain and they died in the crash. I can’t even link that line to the entire song.

Again, lyrically, I still maintain that I don’t know what to make out of this song. I think Tiwa Savage was not really prepared when she released this song. She perhaps wanted to just assure her fans, especially for those who have been saying they miss her vocals (I am one of them), that she is still in the music scene and has not quit music. So, she kept them busy with “Ello baby” till she is ready to release the main song. I remember that before she released this song, she was like asking her fans on IG if they have missed her vocal before hinting them that she has a new track with Kizz Daniel.
