IG @ogefashblog

“Girls like you” by Maroon 5 ft Cardi B is a love song. In the song, the artiste wishes he could  have more time with his significant other where they are just loving each other rather than making reparations or settling their fights which is usually caused by the artiste. The artiste however uses the words “Girls like you” to praise the lady and emphasize her uniqueness among other ladies”

LYRICS TO “GIRLS LIKE YOU” BY MAROON FT CARDI B

 VERSE 1 (MAROON 5)

Spent 24 hours
I need more hours with you
You spent the weekend
Getting even, ooh ooh
We spent the late nights
Making things right, between us
But now it’s all good baby
Roll that Backwood baby
And play me close

CHORUS

‘Cause girls like you
Run around with guys like me
‘Til sundown, when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Girls like you
Love fun, yeah me too
What I want when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

POST- CHORUS

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah
I need a girl like you.

VERSE 2

I spent last night
On the last flight to you
Took a whole day up
Trying to get way up, ooh ooh
We spent the daylight
Trying to make things right between us (Oh oh,oh oh)
And now it’s all good baby
Roll that Backwood baby
And play me close (Yeah)

CHORUS

‘Cause girls like you
Run around with guys like me
‘Til sundown, when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Girls like you
Love fun, yeah me too
What I want when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

POST- CHORUS

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

I need a girl like you

BRIDGE

Maybe it is 6:45. Maybe I am barely alive

Maybe you have taken my shit for the last time, yeah

Maybe I know that I am drunk

Maybe I know you are the one

Maybe I am thinking it is better, if you drive

VERSE 3 (CARDI B)

Not too long ago, I was dancing for dollars

Know it is really real if I let you meet my mama

You don’t want a girl like me, I am too crazy

For every other girl you meet its fugazy

I am sure other girls were nice enough

But you need someone to spice it up

So who you gonna call?

Cardi Cardi, come and rev it up like a Harley Harley

Why is the best fruit always forbidden?

I am coming to you now doing 20 over the limit

The red light, red light. Stop, stop.

I don’t play when it comes to my heart (Let’s get it though)

I don’t really want a white horse and a carriage

I am thinking more of a white Porsches and Karats

I need you right here, ‘cause every time you call

I play with this kitty like you play with your guitar

CHORUS

‘Cause girls like you
Run around with guys like me
‘Til sundown, when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Girls like you
Love fun, yeah me too
What I want when I come through
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

POST- CHORUS

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah
I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah, Yeah yeah yeah
I need a girl like you.

I need a girl like you, yeah yeah

I need a girl like you
