In the song “Me” by Taylor Swift, the artiste uses the word “Me” to refer to herself as a unique being irrespective of her imperfection. We can see the theme of self love in the song in that despite the fact that the artiste knows all her flaws and how toxic they may be, she has come to accept them as things that are just part of her and make her unique. She loves herself and feels she is as good as anyone else. She even lets her significant other know that there can be no one as unique as her despite her flaws.
So, one can say the song is basically about understanding and embracing your partner’s imperfection; see an imperfect person perfectly.
