(+LYRICS+MEANING+TRANSLATION) MUSIC REVIEW: IN MY BED BY SABRINA CARPENTER “WHY IS SABRINA STILL IN BED?”

IG @ogefashblog

After listening to this song, the first question on my lips was “Why is Sabrina Carpenter still in bed?” Perhaps the artiste is worried, she is so worried to the extent that things that usually do not matter to her, now matter most to her. She spends all day worrying about a certain thing which ends up zapping her energy as well as cracking her up, hence, making her unwilling to leave the bed. It is however not clear what Sabrina is worried about. If it is a relationship, she is probably unresolved about her previous relationship and she is not sure if she should give the guy another trial or just let him go or start a new relationship with another guy or better still be alone for a while. What ya think?

LYRICS TO THE SONG IN MY BED BY SABRINA CARPENTER

VERSE 1

Little things become everything
When you wouldn’t think that they would
Little things weigh so heavily
Take my energy ’til it’s gone

PRE CHORUS

I wanna be alone. But love is emotions. Wanna be alone
I’m tryna, I’m tryna. I’m tryna stop them
Losing my control. I prefer to go away.I could let it go easy

CHORUS

But I’m still, I’m still. I’m still, I’m still, I’m still. In my bed about it
I’m still, I’m still, I’m still. In my bed about it
I’m not usually like this.I’m not usually like this
But I’m still, I’m still. I’m still in my bed

VERSE 2

Turn this pillowcase. To the cooler side
Give me something I can’t feel
‘Cause I wanna turn a page. Wanna re-arrange
Swing the doors wide open in my mind (oh oh)

PRE CHORUS

I wanna be alone. But love is emotions. Wanna be alone
I’m tryna, I’m tryna. I’m tryna stop them
Losing my control. I prefer to go away.I could let it go easy

CHORUS

But I’m still, I’m still. I’m still, I’m still, I’m still. In my bed about it
I’m still, I’m still, I’m still. In my bed about it
I’m not usually like this.I’m not usually like this
But I’m still, I’m still. I’m still in my bed

But I’m still, I’m still, I’m still
In my bed about it
(Bed about it, bed about it)
But I’m still, I’m still, I’m still
In my bed about it

(Bed about it, bed about it)
But I’m still, I’m still, I’m still
In my bed about it

BRIDGE

Something chemical inside me messing with my mind
And I can’t help but feel like
I’m feeling like someone else (someone else)
Something animal inside me
Trying to remind me there’s no need
To worry about it and lose myself

But I’m still, I’m still, I’m still
I’m still, I’m still, I’m still
In my bed about it (bed about it)
I’m still, I’m still, I’m still
In my bed about it (I)
I’m not usually like this (I’m not usually like)
I’m not usually like this (I’m not usually like)
But I’m still, I’m still, I’m still
In my bed about it

I’m still in my bed, I’m still in my bed
But I’m still, I’m still
I’m still in my bed about it

(Bed about it, bed about it)
I’m still in my bed, I’m still in my
But I’m still, I’m still
I’m still in my bed.
