She is the sixth of the eight children in the family.

She started her primary school education in the prestigious Our Lady of Apostles Primary School Yaba before proceeding to the secondary of the same institution.

In the secondary school, she developed a passion for the martial arts especially Karate. This passion followed her into the University, which is the University of Lagos. She went on to win several laurels including gold medals in African zone III championship and was team captain for the female national team for the 1999 all African games. Perp, as she is fondly called, also won 2 gold medals in the 1998 National Sports Festival. She had represented her school (University of Lagos) in the NUGA games in taekwando where she won a bronze medal.

Coming from a background of teachers and head teachers, (her mother is a retired teacher), she joined the Dominican Nursery and Primary School, working in the preschool for few years, her exploits in academics began. During her youth service, she served as a teacher at Ansar-Ud-Deen after graduating as a sociologist. She then decided to get her qualifications as a Montessori directress before obtaining her PGDE at Nottingham University after joining Heritage house School. Here, her love for children and excellence grew in leaps and bounds. She quickly rose through the ranks as she became a supervisor, deputy Head of School, Head of School Jibowu, Head of School Ikoyi as the overall supervising head. She is also a lecturer at the Heritage Montessori Centre, where she has trained many directresses. Last year (2018), she graduated with a Masters degree in Education Administration at the University of Lagos. She is also a member of several professional bodies such as South African Montessori Association (SAMA) and an executive member of AISEN.

In her church at the St. Dominic’s Catholic Church,  Yaba, she was a lector and she was reader per excellence. Everyone loved her reading and was an easy pick for the big occasions.

Perp, a mentor coach, was a woman who distinguished herself by applying herself in everything that she was involved in; excellence was her watchword. She believed in family and people as she would always welcome you with a smile that brightened her sphere and beyond. Perp loved sports, she loved to keep fit and live healthy. She loved life and lived it to the full.

Indeed, heaven has gained an angel and we are left bewildered but we take solace in knowing she served God and man with her life and loved God with all her heart.

Perp lives on!
