THROWBACK MOVIE: LIGHTS OUT
WARNER BROS PICTURES
“Eeyah! When uniformed men go and investigate spiritual issues, they may not come back to tell the story”
A young lady-Dianna (ALICIA VELA BAILEY, AVA CANTRELL) with a very strange skin disorder gets into people’s heads and manipulates them. Diana is in the same psychiatric hospital with young Sophie (MARIA BELLO, EMILY ALYN LIND) who also has mental issues but not as serious as Diana’s. She gets into Sophie’s head and makes her believe they are close friends.
One day, Diana dies while they are experimenting on her. Years after, she returns and finds solace in Sophie’s abode. Her resurgence comes with one condition; the lights must be out for her to strike. In essence, Diana is sensitive to light.
Dead Diana now has a strong connection with the living Sophie. She torments and kills all that want to separate her from Sophie. Sophie’s daughter (TERESA PALMER) unable to bear the torment leaves the house and abandons her mummy. She is also forced to take her step brother Martin (GABRIEL BATEMAN) along with her to her new house when she notices that he is also facing what she faced when she was younger.
Oneday, Rebecca and Martin decide to break the bond between their mum and demonic Dianna and restore her sanity, but Dianna wouldn’t allow that happen.
Whoever tries to pull her away from Sophie becomes history. Would this also happen to Sophie’s children Rebecca and Martins or Paul (BILLY BURKE) who is Sophie’s husband or Bret (ALEXANDA DIPERSIA), Rebecca’s boyfriend?
