(+PICTURES) FUTURE LEADERS EMERGE AS ‘HIS GLORY SCHOOLS’ MARK 8TH GRADUATION CEREMONY

The above were the parting words of Gideon Olajide, the overall best graduating student of the 2018 set of His Glory Plus College, Bariga, Lagos in the 8th graduation and Prize-giving ceremony of the school. The ceremony was a combined celebration of graduands from its primary and secondary school.

Since inception, “His Glory Plus Schools” have continuously shown their competence in providing quality education that is befitting for world class leaders. It is a school where children are enthusiastic about learning considering the top-notch facilities and capable teachers employed in the school to aid students’ academic, moral and spiritual development. The students are responsible, social, vocal, creative thinkers and have what it takes to solve the rigorous problems of nations. Little wonder all parents always seek admission for their children to ‘His Glory Plus Schools’ and were also excited to be a part of the graduation ceremony.

Parents and well wishers turned out in mass all looking stunning in their attires and enthusiastic about the day’s event which had a lot of enthralling activities and electrifying performances dished out by the students of the school; there was indeed no boring moment.

The ceremony which was held at the ‘Our Lady Of Fatima’s School hall had proprietress of top schools as well as CEO’s of notable organizations grace the occasion. It had in attendance, the proprietor and proprietress of His Glory Schools- Mr. and Mrs. Olajide; the  PTA chairman of His Glory Schools, Mr. Enang;  the PTA chairlady of His Glory Schools, Mrs. Ukamdu; Proprietress David Graham, Mrs. Adedeji; Proprietress Damavel Nursery and Primary School, Mrs. Ogunkalu; Proprietress of Smart Creche, Mrs, Modinat Ismail; CEO of Golden Ladies Club,  Mrs. Kemi Adewale and Mrs. Feyisara

The ceremony kicked off with an opening prayer taken by the headmistress of His Glory Primary School-Mrs. Aiyegbon Abidemi Alice.

In a speech delivered by the proprietor of the school, Mr. Adebayo Olajide, he referred to the 2018 set of graduands as spectacular students as under their set, the school got a specific approval from the Lagos State. He also said a large percentage of the students came out with Distinctions all through. He congratulated the students and wished them well as they proceed to the next phase of their academic life. He also thanked the parents for taking care of their children.

Also, addressing the graduands was PTA chairman of ‘His Glory Schools’- Mr. Enang. He thanked God for the successful completion of another academic session and also thanked God that the school didn’t witness the death of any pupil. He also thanked the parents for their continuous cooperation in things that concern the school irrespective of their tight schedule and the economy situation of the country. He enjoined the graduands not to join bad gangs in the University and wished them excellence as they proceed to the next phase of their academic life.

The highpoint of the ceremony was the recognition of each of the graduands from the nursery, to the kindergarten, to the primary and to the college of the school. The proprietor of the school- Mr. Olajide gave the parents of the children the chance to stand beside them on the stage and then pray as well as dance with their children.  They all rejoiced with their children none wanting to return to their seats.

The day was fun packed with some enthralling activities that glued guests to their seats such as the cultural dance by the Igbo and Yoruba group where the students danced in their colourful traditional attires, Bata dance, Choreography, Music, Drama (Both in French and English).   Students were also elected to take up the mantle from the graduands who had various leadership positions.

It was indeed an event filled with fun and excitement as the guests yearned for more. The show was hosted by the headmistress and principal of the school in persons of Mrs. Aiyedogbon Abidemi Alice and  Mrs. Kemi Nwachukwu

The ceremony was concluded with the presentation of certificates and palatable gifts to all the graduands. Gideon Olajide was  the star of the day as he was the overall best graduating student of class 2018. He went home not only with wrapped gifts but with cash prizes, among them are the HD decoder with 6 months subscription given by an alumnus of the school who now works with Multi choice, the proprietor’s 10,000 naira cash prize for the student with the best score in Jamb; Olajide scored  307 in jamb and many other gifts from subject teachers. All the students went home smiling as their hands were filled with splendid gifts given to them either by subject teachers or school management. There were gifts for all not just the graduating students. There was also much to wine and dine with.
