(+PICTURES) PUPILS WOW AUDIENCE AT THE 10TH GRADUATION CEREMONY OF ANSAR-UD-DEEN NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL

It was a joyful celebration of another successful completion of the academic session at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Nursery and Primary School, Akoka.

Beautiful faces converged to be a part of the school’s 10th graduation ceremony. Ansar-Ud-Deen school is one of the leading schools that balances western education with qualitive islamic teachings to produce knowledgeable graduands who can compete with their counterparts all over the world. This is evident in the excellent results the children graduated with. Also, the teachers of the school are not only experienced, but lovable as they do not only see them as pupils but as their own children hence giving them utmost priority.

Since its inception in 2004, the school which is owned by the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Akoka Branch, has continuously won the hearts of many in the community as well as the nation at large as it has proven to be the frontiers of knowledge. They have been developing pupils with assiduous and creative minds and training them to be able to be a boss of their own in the future.

Kicking off the 2018 graduation ceremony was the short prayer which was done by one of the students. The culmination of the prayers automatically paved way for the introduction and welcoming of dignitaries to the high table.

Addressing the audience after the recitation of the glorious quran was the headmistress of Ansar-ud-deen- Mrs. Sheriffah T. Gbadamosi. She expressed her incomputable joy at the performance of the pupils. She thanked the teachers for performing their duties exceedingly as well as the parents for entrusting their children in care of the teachers and for paying their children’s fees at the appropriate time. She went on to mention some of the successful activities carried out in the school in the just concluded school calendar year such as competitions and summits where they came out top. She thereafter wished the students well and all peaceful journey back home.

Thereafter, the graduating students-Saheed Sofiat (Outgoing head girl), Adesanya Roqeeb (outgoing head boy), Abdul Rahman Mistura (Assistant head girl) Rokeebah Babatunde, Ogunleye Rofiat, Ajao Mariam, Adebanjo were introduced to the audience one after the other. As each of them came out, the DJ of the occasion played a song for each of the graduating students to dance to. They took to the dance floor showcasing their shaku shaku moves. Families and friends also came out to rejoice with them as well as spray them money before returning to their various seats.

Speaking with Ogefash Blog, the outgoing head girl of Ansar-ud-deen- Sofiat Saheed had this to say about the school. She says the school is extraordinarily different from other schools as they truly impact knowledge in them both western education and Arabic knowledge. She says she owes her knowledge to her teachers as well as the chairman- education board who is also her sponsor

The occasion was anchored by Mr. Abduwallah Adewale and Mr. Ekemode who made the event lively.

ANCHORS OF THE EVENT

There were lined up of enthralling activities which kept guests glued to their seats. The students were fully loaded with entertainment, all energized and ready to dish them out to the radiant audience. They displayed their extreme dexterity in dance, music and many more.First off the entertainment pack was an interesting rhyme done by the play group class. There were also poems done both in English and French. ADS news came up right after where two students (a male and female) displayed their communication skills as they read the news both in English and Yoruba.

There was also the electrifying cultural dance which swept guests to their feet as the children danced low to the ground reflecting the nature of the western tradition while singing melodious songs that flowed with their dance. Not forgetting the interesting riddles and the fashion parade where the children walked elegantly on the podium.

There was also Ewi/Oriki also known as song of praise, the little children did this fluently which almost brought tears to their faces. It was a challenge to the adult seeing their younger ones do what is common among the adults. Also in the entertainment pack was the drama titled “Obedience” where a prince lost the throne because of his arrogance and disobedience. Not forgetting the noble sayings of the prophet popularly known as “Hadith”

FASHION PARADE

Prizes were also giving to students who had outstanding performances. The overall best student in primary six was the outgoing head girl- Sofiat Saheed. The outgoing head boy won award for the neatest and the most creative student in the school. Also the teachers were rewarded with mouth watering gifts.

The high point of the day was the giving away of both the big and small refrigerator as prize to the staff. Carting away the big refrigerators were Mrs. Idiat Gbadamosi and Mrs Ajao while Mrs. Alhaji Yekini Fausa went home with the small fridge. Their joy knew no bound when their names were announced as the new owners of the refrigerator. Students of the school and other staff came out to celebrate with them.

GIFTS OF THE DAY

It was indeed a well organized graduation ceremony as the occasion ended leaving guests yearning for more dosage of their entertainment pack.

Speaking with Ogefash Blog at the end of the event, the chairman of the committee- Mrs. Idiat says she owes the success of the event to God, to the pupils, parents and staff who donated towards the event. She expressed joy on the terrific performance of the students in all the activities and saluted their bravery in facing the crowd. She also thanked the parents for taking time to dress their children well and making them look good.
