THROWBACK MOVIE: DEAD MAN DOWN
In his 2013 movie, Victor (Colin Farrell) was a widower who was yet to recover from the murder of his beautiful wife and daughter by the merciless Alphonse Hoyt (Terrence Howard). Victor was filled with so much anger and would not rest until those behind his family’s death payed dearly with their lives. To avenge, Victor joined Alphonse gangs. He played along with them for a while after which he started threatening Alphonse’s life secretly. The unsuspecting Alphonse trusted Victor so much because he once saved him oblivious of Victor’s gimmicks that he saved his life in order to be the one to kill him later.
Meanwhile there was this disfigured female neighbour of Victor by name Beatrice (Noomi Rapace), who never took her face off Victor’s window. One day, she saw him killing a man and tried to blackmail him with it. She ordered Victor to kill the man who disfigured her face or risk being exposed to the police. Victor was aghast as he was only killing those who killed his family. Even though both Victor and Beatrice are attracted to each other, none of them is willing to jeopardize their individual mission. Would Beatrice expose Victor? Would Victor be able to revenge? Find out here
