SYNOPSIS TO THE MOVIE: 24 HOURS TO LIVE

Former soldier now turned assassin -Travis Conrad(Ethan Hawke) is on vacation and is still unresolved by the death of his wife and son. However, when his temporary boss- Red Mountain-Wetzler (Liam Cunningham) sends Travis’s former Army bestie Jim (Paul Anderson) to offer him a million and the half dollars job a day to end his break and assassinate a whistleblower, Travis jumps at the offer.

Travis’s task is to eliminate a whistleblower Keith (Tyrone Keogh)who wants to testify against Red Mountain in a UN investigation for his evil acts.

Meanwhile, there is a smart female Interpol officer Lin (Xu Qing) protecting Keith who makes it difficult for him to be harmed. When Travis finds out that Lin is in South Africa, he immediately takes a flight to the country in order to find his target -Keith through her and then assassinate him immediately. Both Lin and Travis finally meet and they allow some moments of sexual pleasure having been so lonely for a while, but with their missions still intact. Travis checks Lin’s phone and he is able to get Keith’s location, so he immediately heads to the location to gun him down. However, smart Lin already knows Travis’s mission but has just been playing along. Lin immediately goes after Travis and there is a gun fight between them which leaves one of them dead. Who died? PLOT TO THE MOVIE 24 HOURS TO LIVE

As interpol officer Lin (Xu Qing) and a witness against Red Mountain- Keith (Tyrone Keogh) pass through Namibian South African Border Region, they are attacked by some group of men suspected to be Red Mountain’s- Wetzler (Liam Cunningham)men. There is a shootout between them which leaves a lot of Red Mountain’s men dead and Lin and Keith injured.

Travis (Ethan Hawkwe) and his father in law-Frank (Rutger Hauer) are having a nice time on the beach, they are both drunk so they both say silly things often after which Travis and Frank pour out the ashes of his late wife and son.

While Travis is at the bar, his former army bestie Jim Morrow (Paul Anderson) joins him though sent by their boss Red mountain. He offers him a million and the half dollars a day to end his vacation and also assassinate a whistle blower- Keith, who wants to testify against Red Mountain in UN investigation. Jim gives Travis details about the whistle blower- Keith he wants to take out and the Interpol officer- Lin that is protecting him while in the car. Jim tells Travis that the female Interpol officer currently protecting is the reason Keith is still alive. Travis asks Jim what Red Mountains offence is but he ignores the question. Travis is given 72 hours to find and gun down the whistle blower.

Travis visits the house of Lin but meets her in absence. He only finds Lin’s mother and son. He introduces himself as Lin’s friend and then chats them up for a while. Lin’s son lets Travis know that his mum will soon be back because revealing to Travis that he spoke to his mum recently. Travis takes Lin’s son’s phone without letting him know in order to know Lin’s current location which he is able to get.

Travis takes a flight to South Africa and finally gets to meet Lin. They both have moments of sexual pleasure though with their missions intact. They have been lonely for a while- Lin is a single mother while Travis is a widower. Travis lets her know that his wife and son are dead and Lin could feel his pains. However, when Lin is having her bath, Travis goes through her phone and finally he is able to get his target- Keith’s location. He immediately leaves the room without telling Lin in order to go and kill Keith. Meanwhile Lin knows his mission, she has just been playing along with him. She follows him and there there is a gun fight between them with Lin killing Travis.

Red Mountain is not just ready to bury Travis with the information on Keith’s location in his memory. So in order to hear Keith’s location from Travis’s mouth; since keith would be testifying in the next 2 hours, his scientist Helen (Nathalie Boltt)revives Travis using Red Mountain’s experimental procedure. But Travis can only be alive for just 24 hours which comes with some side effects; there will be hallucinatory-flashback. While held down in Red Mountain’s building, Travis finds out what Red Mountain and Jim Morrow’s intentions are so he breaks loose from where he is pinned down. He kills a lot of Red Mountain’s men using the the scientist as hostage till he is able to find a way out of the building.

Travis locates a phone booth where he calls Frank and tells him he wont be coming home. Frank advices him not to give up. After the phone call, Travis snatches a taxi from the owner and zooms off.

Keith is already testifying against Red Mountain, telling them of all his atrocities. He is yet to finish when Lin notices that there is a hitman- Jim Morrow on the top of another building aiming at the whistleblower. She signals all in the building about this but before they are able to do anything, the hitman fires at the building killing a lot of people and leaving others injured including Keith.

Keith is unable to carry the camera along so he quickly removes the memory card containing the information and takes it along with him as he and Lin leave the building. As both Lin and Keith scamper for safety, they bump into Travis. But Jim Morrow didn’t back off as he keeps on shooting till he finally shoots Keith. Moments later, Keith dies but both Lin and Travis find the memory card around him.

An insider takes Keith’s camera to Jim Morrow, but when he opens it, he finds out that the memory card has been removed. This angers Jim and Red Mountain as well who orders him to do whatever it takes to retrieve the memory card back. Jim afterwards sends a guy to go and kidnap Lin’s son which they succeed in doing. He calls Lin’s phone and tells her to hand the phone to Travis which she does. He immediately tells Travis that he has Lin’s son and he would only echange him for the memory card. Travis tells Lins what is happening and she breaks down in tears. As Travis and Lin hit the road, Travis’s hallucinations starts which makes him stop the vehicle abruptly. His hallucinations are on his son, wife and days as a soldier.

Travis goes over to his place taking Lin along and he retrieves some weapons. Travis and Lin afterwards head to the zone of Travis’s old friend Amahle(Hakeem Kae-Kazim) who used to be a soldier too to find out more about Red Mountain as well as seek help in getting Lin’s son back. Travis tells his Amahle that Red mountain kills people and uses them for his experiment. Travis, Lin along with Ahmale and his gang intercept Red Mountain’s men. There is a shoot out which leads to the death of Red Mountain’s men. However, they are able to save Lin’s son. Lin wants Travis to come along with them, but Travis tells Lin that it is too late. He enjoins her to submit Keith’s testimony and then says goodbye to Lin.

Travis alone heads to Red Mountain’s building where there is a shoot out between Travis and Red Mountain’s men. During the shootout he has an hallucination where his son tells him that he is almost home. Travis conquers all Red Mountain’s men after which he goes in search of Jim Morrow and Red Mountain. He shoots Red Mountain on his leg when he tries to escape. Jim discovers more of Red Mountain’s evil acts which makes him want to kill him. But the interpol officers enter and ask Jim to drop his weapon which he didn not. Jim shoots Red Mountain while they shoot him also.

Travis sees himself with his son but this time it looks like a dream as he wakes up in a place looking like a hospital and not a grave yard.
