SHALLOW LYRICS EVEN THOUGH IT SEEMS TEKNO IS TRYING TO PROMOTE HIS NEW DANCE “ELUKU DANCE”
I really do not know how many more videos with the title “Your love” Tekno has out there. There is one video on “Your love” where he featured Reekado Banks and there is another one without him. However, here is the lyrics to the video that doesn’t feature Reekado.

THE REVIEW
This song is quite an interesting one, it is just so sad that for the 3 minutes 55 seconds of the song, Tekno was not able to deliver creative lyrics; the lyrics were sleepy; so very shallow. The chorus was better than the verse.
Are Nigerian artistes ever going to sing a full track without using words like “ ah, eh, oh, chai” and its likes. I mean, all through this song, that was what I was hearing. The song was delivered in pidgin.
I also noticed that Tekno sang this line “Eluku gyrate, o gyrate, Eluku dance” severally. Is he introducing a new dance step into the Nigerian dance world and he is doing it in a coded way so people wont think that he is trying to overthrow the Shaku Shaku dance.
This particular line in Verse 1, I just don’t know, it was as if he switched to another girl and then back to the original girl “Girl you do me something wey nobody do me o. Eluku gyrate, o gyrate, Eluku dance. Kenyan girl with a big waist o (All of them wanna know my Kenyan girl). Everything correct with a fine face o. Oh girl your body banging like this or baby girl your body banging like that. For your love I am dancing like this, baby let’s do it like that”
Incomplete line “Why you go dey do like this”. Like how exactly did the Kenyan Girl with big waist come into the verse where he was confessing his love to a certain girl. Lyrically, your love really has shallow lyrics.
WHAT IS THE SONG “YOUR LOVE” BY TEKNO REALLY ABOUT
It is no doubt a love song. Tekno is deeply in love with a certain girl who is part of a dance group; perhaps the Eluku dance group. He is so much in love with her that he feels the need to always spend time with her when he is not working (Ehen, I go love o). He is so drawn to her. He vows never to take her love for granted, mess around with her heart or leave her side considering how they started together. Perhaps, she has been with him through thick and thin. This he sang in the chorus “I no go play with your love o, I no go do you like that o (eeh eeh). My baby I know how we start am (aahahahah). Forever I go dey by your side o”

LOCATION
The video was shot outdoor a place looking like a park where the dance group did their rehearsals. There was also some indoor shots where the girl was winning for Tekno.
VIDEO PRODUCTION
Tekno made the video interesting to watch, his expression to the lyrics was flawless. He should try acting mhen! From his expression, one could tell that he was deeply in love with the lady. The video doesn’t really tell a story, apart from the fact that Tekno is in love with her and goes the extra mile to make himself available for her during her activities. Hence the reason he stayed with her all through her dance rehearsal. It is a simple video yet spectacular. A different concept from other music videos in that the lady has a place she goes to everyday not like some music videos where the ladies are just placed there with no particular quality but as a seductress. I love the energetic dance. However, the rehearsal ground was dark from beginning to the end- it is somehow sha. Infact, the lighning was dim.

BEAT: Great beat, it is quite melodious, though it is not a fast beat. His vocal was quite audible at the onset until the latter part of the song where it seemed he was lost for words. It seems he didn’t know what he was singing again. Well balanced instrumentals
There was a part where I struggled to hear the lyrics because the instrumental went higher than the vocals
COSTUME: Terrific. I love that Tekno’s outfit, so on point. The dancers’ outfit (eyes rolling)

• Is there something Tekno is trying to tell his fans and Nigerians about this Eluku dance
• Didn’t they notice this?
• How many your love videos does he have? because there is already one with Reekado
• Why did this girl open her mouth like this na?
• My baby I know how we start am (aahahahah). We are not given a clue about how they started it
