LAGOS, HERE ARE YOUR 6 FINALISTS FOR THE ‘MALTAVATOR CHALLENGE’ (+PICS OF HOW THE EVENT WENT DOWN)
THEY CAME AND THEY CONQUERED!

The experience was electrifying at the just concluded Lagos edition of the Maltavator Challenge. It was the first of its kind as it saw thousands of Nigerians throng to the venue.

The Maltavator challenge started between 27th of January 2018 and ended 17th February, 2018 in three cities. The first state it held was Benin (27th January) were only 5 finalists emerged, then Enugu (3rd February) with 6 finalists and lastly, Lagos (17th February) with 6 finalists comprising 3 boys and 3 girls. Their names are Evans Edeha-Ideji, James James, Stanley Babalola, Opanubi Toyosi, Igboecheonwu Jane Fransisca and Oge Nwabueze

The lagos competition held in National Stadium Surulere and the medical practitioners all came with their instruments checking participants to see those who were fit for the tasks ahead.

The competition kicked off with the the ‘Elimination
Props’ where participants were tested in terms of their individual speed despite the obstacles on their paths. Their finished time was recorded; this was the first challenge were thousands of people were curtailed to less than a 100.

Next was the Giant Maltavator task. In this competition, participants went in pairs also and the fastest was immediately announced winner; this task left about half of the participants from the first task standing.

The third task was the “Gladiator Duel” where contestants also went in pairs and then battled a participant without pushing the person. The first person to fall off the soft stand was out of the competition; this task also left about half of the participants from the second task standing.

The fourth task was the “treasure Hunt ball pool” where participants were expected to pick only the white balls and drop in their various baskets in 30 seconds. They were to pick only one ball at a time. The person with the highest number of white balls qualifies for the next round.

The fifth and the final task was the Maze- this was a mental challenge. The participants were expected to find their path through the Maze board in the fastest possible time, the fastest were rewarded as the finalists

There were other enthralling activities at the event. There was the snooker, pool and tennis games. Also, participants took to the stage to thrill other participants with their dance skills, acting skills and singing skills. There were also those who engaged in a rap battle.



The 6 finalists from Lagos as well as other participants, got their greatness fuelled by Malta Guiness. The finalists went home with their hands full of malta Guinness items while other participants in the challenge also went home with a gift. There were lots to eat and drink at the venue.

Maltavator Challenge team would be picking only ten finalists out of all the finalists from the three cities in Nigeria (Lagos, Benin and Enugu) to represent the country in the Pan African Maltavator Challenge TV show. They are to compete compete along with other 30 contestants from Ghana, Cote D’I vore and Ethiopia.

The grand prize for the final winner of the Maltavator Challenge TV show is Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000). Consolation prizes of Four Hundred Dollars ($400) will be rewarded to all the other 39 contestants of the Maltavator Challenge TV show.
