I GO DYE WRITES BUHARI: LEAVE NOW WHEN THE OVATION IS LOUD
With the letter from former President Olusegun Obasanjo, advising President Mohammadu Buhari not to seek reelection causing political uproar in the polity, ace comedian and UN ambassador, I Go Dye, has written his own letter to the President, also, advising him to leave now as the ovation is still loud for him. Excerpts from his letter
“….Honestly speaking, there is nothing new for you to conquer, the only sacrifice that will bring more honour to your personality, is for you to lead the process of advancing and transferring political leadership to the youths. The best gift that you can obviously give to my generation is to activate and set the process of ending the long and over -due political recycling’s that has denied the youths their rightful place in our political history as Nation. Today, some people are already clamouring that you should continue in power, they have a right to their opinions, but I feel we all owe this Nation the truth at all times.
Since you became president, life has taught many of us that the circumstance of life are unforeseeable, It will be honourable to become an elder statesman at this time of your life. Most of those instigating this continuation are doing it mostly for their selfish interest ,because of what they are gaining or stand to gain, if you remain in power,do they really care about what you will be remembered for.”

FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING YOUNG GIRLS NASSAR DISGRACED USA GYMNASTICS DOCTOR GETS 175 YEARS JAIL
Disgraced former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison on Wednesday for sexually abusing scores of young girls under the guise of medical treatment.
“You do not deserve to walk outside of a prison ever again,” the judge told the 54-year-old Nassar in a tense Lansing, Michigan, courtroom. “Anywhere you walk destruction will occur to those most vulnerable.”
Minutes ahead of the sentencing, Nassar apologized in court to his victims, who included Olympic gold-medal winners Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney but also scores of female athletes at Michigan State University, where he worked.
“What I am feeling pales in comparison to the pain, trauma, and emotional destruction that all of you are feeling,” Nassar said, turning at several points to face his victims in court. “There are no words to describe the depth and breadth of how sorry I am for what has occurred,” he said.
More than 150 women and girls accused Nassar of a pattern of serial abuse dating back two decades.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has responded to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s statement, thanking him for his observation and also educating him on the various successes recorded in the last 32 months. On whether or not President Muhammadu Buhari should run for another, the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the issue is a distraction for the President at the moment because the president spends every waking hour tackling the enormous challenges facing the nation, most of which were bequeathed to his Administration by successive past Administrations.
