“King Rudy” “Rude boy” is also known as Paul Okoye of the former Psquare group. He dropped the video for the popular song “Fire Fire” some weeks back, and here is what we feel about the song; but first view the lyrics…

THE REVIEW
So, I am trying to figure out what the song is really about, don’t get me wrong, ain’t saying the song is meaningless. It has a message and of course a great tune as well; perhaps the message is just confusing. Normally one would say it is about a young girl who people have bad mouthed, and she is hoping to get married someday. So, oneday, her prayer is answered, which automatically shuts the mouth of the enemies. The lady is happy about this and she shows her excitement on the dance floor, but did she really take over the dance floor? Did she scatter the dance floor ( really, I think some other ladies scattered the down floor more than her)

On the second thought, I think she truly scattered the dance floor

Another meaning of the song may mean that God doesn’t disappoint, as he shows himself mighty. If God doesn’t answer prayers, people would keep bad mouthing others.

Then another translation would generally mean when you are happy you will dance on and on. But which one come be “She is catching the vibe and I’m catching the feeling

Lyrically, I was trying to understand some lines in Verse 1, I can’t really link them together, “Eh, dem go wound oh, I dey thank God say baba God no be mana mana, Na so dem go open their mouth si badabada, but them go wound o. Cause they know say the girl she dey hot like fire fire eh ya
How dem take know? Abi dem be Tekno pana pana”. Even the verse 2 was not helpful at all. Some set of unorganised lyrics. Hence, the song would have been better if King Rudy had taken just an extra minute to properly arrange the lyrics. But I think the chorus was fair

Anyway, truly, I like the song, but lyrically, it is not properly organised. I like the African and American fusion. What really made the video interesting to watch was the “Well I am still thinking about that”, temporarily may be I would say the American and African fusion..

Location
The video was shot indoor inside a church were a bride and groom were joined and people came to celebrate with them; perhaps an Anglican or a catholic church.

Video
Well a new concept from King Rudy, considering the fact that when he was with his twin brother Mr. P, aka Peter Okoye of Psquare, they have never used a church setting before. I think it would have been more interesting to watch if there were other indoor activities or outdoor activities in the video. Nothing really spectacular!

• I am really trying to understand the connection between the entire song and the police
• The lyrics are not properly arranged; incomplete lyrics. He doesn’t finish a sentence properly before composing another.
