I totally love the beatttttt of this song, I couldn’t help but keep dancing.

So Iyanya comes out with this brand new video titled “Iyanu”.
“Iyanu” is a Yoruba word used in Nigeria and in English it means “Miracle” In essence, the song is about Iyanya hoping for great miracles to happen in his life someday after all his daily efforts/struggles. He believes that what friends and families can’t do, God can do. A very simple video, though simplicity shouldn’t mean less spectacular, which the video lacked. It is one video you may not be pushed to play and play again unlike the audio, once you hear it; you have no choice but to put it on repeat.

The video was shot outdoor dominated by grasses and other plants.

I couldn’t help but notice his dance steps. I could feel his excitement, though he looked funny in his dance steps.

The costume synced well with the message of the song; his costume truly depicted one hoping for a miracle; though something better could have made more sense.

Just thinking
• I am wondering why “Holy water’ is in bracket. Iyanu means miracle… Perhaps, Iyanya was talking about another holy water (well, I dey clear throat oo)

• Girls run the world, but at times, it is not by having them pose as “sexy/” or making them “seductress” in a video before the video gets attention.
